Choo-Choo Johnnies

Mom and I took the kids to a train themed restuarant called Choo-Choo Johnnies in Frankfort for lunch today. It was sssooo hilarious to watch Logan point out all the "choo-choos". We all had a great time.

18 Month Well-Baby

Logan had his 18 month well baby check today. HE GREW 3 INCHES SINCE APRIL!!!! WOW! He's going to be a tall one, other than that nothing really to report...all healthy on the Logan front.

New Haircut and New Toy

This morning we went to Tricia Roberts garage sale where Jack sold us a tool bench for the kids and then Rylie got a haircut in the afternoon.

Rylie and Logan spent the rest of the afternoon wearing construction "gear" like regular working Joes. Now if you wear the costume your name is "Joe". LOL

Last Ankle Update

THE BOOT IS OFF! I have to go back in a month and until that time I will be in physical therapy. Lesson learned: do not go into the basement without a light being on.

Day at The Splash Park

Saturday Eric and I took the kids to a splash park in New Lenox. For those of you who do not know what that is its a squishy pad that water shoots out of. Kind of like an in the ground sprinkler. It was fun!

Ankle Update

Saw the orthopaedist yesterday and two weeks with the boot, unfortunately. He did remove the soft cast on my foot and I was fitted with an ankle support that I am able to take off to shower....YIPPEE! Its been two weeks with showering with a plastic bag on my foot so this morning I was able to shave and clean my foot real good. AAAHHH...the little things that make us happy.

New Shoes!

Rylie and Logan got their first pair of flip flops ever! Can't beat it $6.00 each at Target....such a deal. Plus they love them and want to wear them all the time.

A Visit to Romeoville

We all went to Romeoville on Sunday for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Grant. We ate ravoli and palyed in the yard. Fun Times!

"The Boot"

OOPS!

So....Monday I missed 2 steps going down to the basement to switch laundry which landed me in tremendous pain and a trip to the Silver Cross Hospital emergency room. The xrays showed a sprain but no break thank god. Todays trip to the orthopaedic doctor shows a ruptured ligament in my ankle and I got sent home in a boot. It is big and black and not much fun to wear. Please give good thoughts so that this might come off soon, so that I don't have to wear it to the upcoming family wedding.

Balloons: Do you hate or love them????

A visit to Trader Joe's today had the kids coming home with a balloon each. At first it was fun watching them run up and down the hall laughing and having fun with their balloons. But then as the afternoon wore on and I was collecting them off the ceiling thousands and thousands of times and Logan seemed to be getting stressed when realizing that in order to keep his balloon he must hold on to it at all times to avoid the dreaded ceiling. It soon became apparent that BALLOONS ARE EVIL AND MUST BE DESTROYED!!!! lol

Outside at The Gararge Sale and Visit from Lily

Last weekend we had a garage sale to get rid of ALL baby stuff. No more babies for us. My friend Jennifer and her daughter Lily stopped by for a visit, Lily is the one with no hair in the group (sorry Jen...but its true).

Pool Time Fun, Anyone???

Yesterday felt like summer was finally on its way, so the kiddie pool came out and both kids had a great time. Logan was just a little guy last year (not sitting up yet), so this summer will be especially fun for him.

Mr. Fishums....RIP???

So, you be the judge has Mr. Fishums finally gone to the big fish bowl in the sky?! I think so, but I wonder if Sarah has noticed???? His bowl has been like this for over a week and he has been dying for some time now.

NEW JOB!

Sarah has a job now and started yesterday. Me being the embarassing step-mom had to take pictures of her first day. Actually I took the pictures today it was crazy yesterday to get her eating and out the door. She is working at Berkots Super Foods which is a block away from our house (awesome for commuting!) and she falls into a long line of Sheridans that worked there when it was Ordman's Park and Shop.

Eric and I both agree that this is a good thing for Sarah it will give her a sense of pride and if not that atleast she will be making some money for herself.
